RAM 35-ACGIH
[ High production dry stripping cabinet with media reclaimer ]

The RAM 35-ACGIH plastic media (PMB), starch media, glass bead and aluminum oxide cabinet gives you a spacious dust-free direct pressure blasting chamber to efficiently strip and clean small components and large workpieces. And the RAM 35 complies with the stringent requirements of the American Conference of Government Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) Section 1 0.80.1, Figure VS80-01. Meeting ACGIH requirements provides 20 air changes per minute in the 5’ wide by 4’ deep by 3’ high blasting enclosure--1200 CFM of powerful, dust-clearing ventilation.

[ Superb Performance, Ruggedly Built, 24/7 Continuous Duty Machine]

Engineered for the demands of plastic and starch media, the RAM 35’s outstanding flexibility yields superb performance with any fine or coarse media, except steel and iron. Built for rugged, continuous applications, the self-contained blast system can easily handle three-shift operations.

[ Powerful, fast, efficient cleaning and finishing ]

Built for non-stop production, the RAM 35 cabinet provides the optimum in finishing of components and parts with plastic and starch media, whose unique characteristics allow it to remove coatings without etching, marring, or damaging most substrates, thus preserving vital surface integrity.

[ Reclaim media - reduce costs ]

Fine tuneable reclaiming of media yields optimum production from each pound. After striking the work surface, media and debris fall through the work deck and are pneumatically conveyed to he reclaiming section for cleaning. Inside the reclaiming section a controlled cyclonic action spirals the media and debris, throwing good media and heavier particles to the outer walls, where they spiral down through a dual adjustable air wash system offering independent controls for air wash volume and velocity, which enhances the separation of dust and fines from the reusable media. A vibrating screen below the air wash traps oversized debris, allowing correctly sized, reusable media to pass through to the storage hopper. Dust and fines are pulled from the center of the cyclone and the airwash and pneumatically onveyed to the dust collector. A magnetic separator traps ferrous particles. Each time blasting stops, the pressure vessel is automatically refilled with clean reclaimed media. A Dense Particle Separator is an available option.

[ Direct pressure blasting without interfering with other operations ]

The RAM 35 dry stripping cabinet provides a self-contained and highly productive blast area that does not pose a toxic hazard to the environment as is caused by liquid chemical strippers. Surface finishing operations including deburring, deflashing, peeninig, etching, stripping and cleaning can go on around-the-clock without interfering with other operations or personnel.

[ Optimum working environment improves productivity ]

We improved your working environment so you can improve productivity. Brilliant lighting allows operators to work more productively on small components as well as large parts. 260 footcandle (280 dekalux) lighting level at the cabinet floor provides exceptional light for exceptional operator performance. What's more, working on detailed parts is easier as a continuous rush of fresh air sweeps through the cabinet providing excellent visibility. Dust laden air is carried to a set of dust collector cartridges for high efficiency filtering, cleaning is via reverse pulse air jet. The large 60”W x 48”D x 36”H (152 cm x 122 cm x 91 cm) blast chamber accommodates a wide variety of workpieces. And to increase productivity, many accessories are available.

[ Choose the exact style and option for your application ]

Already packed with many standard features, the RAM 35 is available in several models and options to custom tailor a cabinet to your exact application. At a minimum, PSI recommends a base mounted turntable for ease of positioning small and large parts.
