You won’t have to shut down normal work operations when blasting with a RAM 45 closed cycle system. And you can eliminate containment structures, reduce disposal costs and increase productivity.
The RAM 45 gives you dust-free plastic and starch media blasting, provides a non-hazardous productive environment for workers, and does not interfere with nearby workers. Engineered for clean, cost-effective blasting, the system blasts, vacuums, and recycles media for reuse.
What's more, with the additional recovery power built into the RAM 45, you can run up to 75 feet of hose to extend your 1/4” (6.4 mm) nozzle blasting range or take advantage of a larger 5/16" (8 mm) nozzle with 25’ (7.6 m) hose system.
The RAM 45 combines the benefits of direct pressure dry stripping with automatic vacuum recovery, cleaning and recycling of the media.
Plastic and starch media blasting (PMB) allows you to safely remove all coatings and contaminants from surfaces previously limited to hazardous liquid chemical stripping. Without etching or amaging most substrates, dry stripping with a RAM 45 preserves surface integrity.
By containing the blasting operation with a RAM 45 you avoid interfering with nearby work processes and ensure a productive environment for workers. Now you can blast in areas previously not open to blasting, eliminate containment structures, reduce disposal costs and increase productivity. Dust-free blasting strips coatings and vacuums dust simultaneously, and effectively eliminates clean up. A range of flexible blast head brushes matches surface contours to prevent dust leakage.
With RAM 45, all blasting media is recycled and cleaned within the unit. Depending on media choice and surface treated, blasting media can be recycled from a few to more than 100 times. Spent media is continuously conveyed from the blast gun body to the reclaimer section. In this section, a cyclone centrifuge, vibrating screen and magnetic separator rapidly separate reusable media from dust and other fines. The dust and fines are pulled from the center of the cyclone and pneumatically conveyed to a high fficiency dust collector from which cleaned air is exhausted.
The RAM 45 is available in air or air/electric powered models to fit your requirements. The all air powered unit consumes 340 CFM @ 100 psi (9.6 CMM @ 7 bar). The air/electric unit consumes 90 CFM @ 100 psi (2.6 CMM @ 7 bar).
Included in the standard RAM 45 package is a one cubic foot (28 liter) ASME coded pressure vessel with 60 degree conical bottom and fluidizing section. Also provided is an external gun with 5/16” (7.94 mm) tungsten carbide nozzle, 25 feet (7.6 m) of hose, plus a primary and secondary cyclone reclaimer with air wash, vibrating screen, enclosed cartridge dust collector.
Several options are available to custom tailor the unit to your application. For detailed work, choose a 1/4" (6.4 mm) nozzle.
Add up to 75 feet of hose to extend the blasting reach. For blasting specific surface contours without dust leakage, an inside corner brush, outside corner brush, and uneven surface brush are available.
